L. Boren Graduate Fellowships Program
Information Session January 17, 2007 at 10 AM in Room 336 Ingraham Hall.
Senior Program Officer of the Institute of International Education, Sue Sharp, will be on campus to provide information and answer questions about the Boren Graduate Fellowships. The application deadline is January 30, 2007. Please send an email to fellow@intl-institute.wisc.edu if you plan on attending the session.
NSEP Boren Fellowships support students pursuing the study of languages, cultures, and world regions that are critical to U.S. interests (including Africa, Asia, Central & Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America & the Caribbean, and the Middle East). Study of the countries of Western Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand is excluded.As a U.S. graduate student, you are eligible to apply for an NSEP Boren Fellowship if you are:
- A U.S. citizen at the time of application.
- Either enrolled in or applying to a graduate degree program at an accredited U.S. college or university located within the United States. To receive the award you must provide evidence of admission and enrollment in such a program.
- Including a plan for language study in a modern language other than English in your application.
